Funeral services for Mr. Richard "Running Wolf" Davidson, Sr. 69, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. The family has chosen cremation. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 8 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at his residence. He was born June 21, 1948 in Detroit, MI, to the late Bernice Davidson and Reba Davidson. He was married to Rose Davidson, who survives. He served in Law Enforcement, was a business owner and minister. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He was the founder of the United Native American Movement of Tennessee. He was always interested in helping others and was very interested in many humanitarian efforts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Tom Davidson. Survivors include his Wife: Rose Davidson of Cookeville, TN; 7 Sons: Charlie Henson of Sparta, TN; Rick Henson of Livingston, TN; John Davidson of Gainesboro, TN; Scottie Davidson of Jonesville, VA; Johnathon Nofke of Rickman, TN; Andrew Davidson of Sparta, TN; and Richard Lee Davidson III of Cookeville, TN; and 1 Daughter: Anne Lamb of Tompkinsville, KY; 21 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Sister: Deborah Stone of Howell, MI; 1 Aunt: Barbara Sanders of Lebanon, TN; and a Special Niece: Tina Flatt of Gainesboro, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help with funeral expenses by contacting the funeral home. Bro.
