Richard Murphy

Mr. Richard Murphy, 70, of Bloomington Springs, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2010, at his residence. A celebration of Richard's life will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at 3 P.M. at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. The family has chosen cremation. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1 P.M. until time of services. He was born October 31, 1940, in Jackson County, TN, to the late James Willard "Wid" Murphy and Sarah V. "Bill" Murphy. On July 20, 2005, he was married to Carol Y. May Murphy, who survives. He was a factory worker at Aeroquip (Eaton) in Gainesboro, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: James Rickey Murphy; and 1 Brother: Doug Murphy. Survivors include his Wife: Carol Y. May Murphy of Bloomington Springs, TN; 1 Son: Steve Murphy of Gainesboro, TN; and 7 Aunts: Mary Crabtree Strang and Betty Ragland, both of Gainesboro, TN; Georgia Ouellette of Detroit, MI; Zanda Gentry of Cookeville, TN; Virginia Phillips and Verone Bybee, both of Gainesboro, TN; and Peggy Hall of Cookeville, TN.
