Funeral services for Mr. Richard M. Stafford, 67, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, September 3, 2012, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 P.M. - 9 P. M., and on Monday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2012, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born May 28, 1945, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Harold Stafford and Anna Lee Heady Stafford. On April 26, 1983, he was married to Wanda Bennett Stafford, who survives. He was a truck driver and a member of the Double Springs Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Mark Stafford; 1 Sister and Brother-in-Law: Barbara Flatt and Joe Flatt; and 1 Nephew: Bart Barham. Survivors include his Wife: Wanda Bennett Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Steven and his wife, Sharlene Bennett of Jamestown, TN; 5 Grandchildren: Makayla Bennett, Joshua Laster, Jordan Laster, Jared Laster, and Faith Laster; 1 Brother: James Harold and his wife, Judy Stafford of Baxter, TN; 1 Sister: Jan and her husband, Kenny Ramsey of Baxter, TN; his Mother-in-Law: Edith Bennett of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Sister-in-Law: Rachel Stafford of Cookeville, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Mike Webb and Lakelan Barham will officiate at the services.
