Funeral services for Mr. Richard H. Warden, 76, of the Zion community of Jackson County, TN, will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery in the Zion community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at the Upper Cumberland Hospice House in Cookeville, TN. He was born June 4, 1938, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Bill and Allie Ruth Warden. On January 10, 1958, he was married to Lorene Loftis Warden, who survives. He was a vending snack salesman for Lance. He was a member of the Zion Church of Christ, where he served for many years as a deacon, treasurer, and Bible Bowl coordinator. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Sons: Ricky and John Mark Warden and 2 infant brothers. Survivors include his Wife: Lorene Loftis Warden of the Zion community of Jackson County, TN; 1 Granddaughter: Terria Gallagher; 2 Great-Grandchildren: Nicholas and Ariah Gallagher; 1 Brother: Billy Harold Warden of Celina, TN; and 3 Sisters: Louise Cox of Old Hickory, TN; Margaret Gray of Livingston, TN; and Kathy Badger of Crossville, TN. 2 Nephews: Mica Badger and Randy Copeland; 2 Nieces: Rebekah Dozier and Christina Warden. He is also survived by his special family at the Zion Church of Christ including the many young people Richard loved and who loved him. Bro. John Anderson, Bro. Jimmy Anderson, and Bro. Dale Crossman will officiate at the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the India Orphan fund or the Zion Church of Christ library by contacting the funeral home.
