Rena Lambert Jones

Funeral services for Mrs. Rena Lambert Jones, 79, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Sunday from 11 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born August 19, 1933, in Jackson County, TN, to the late John Lambert and Ava Brown Lambert. On September 19, 1952, she was married to the late Burton Jones, who passed away July 20, 1993. She was a grocery store cashier. She was a Christian and a member of the Lord's church. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Don Edgbert Jones; 4 Brothers: Junior Lambert, Homer Vickers, Everette Vickers, and Lee Vickers; and 2 Sisters: Pearlie Keith and Ethel Keith. Survivors include 1 Daughter: Melba, and her husband, Roger Dale Gore of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Sister: Zephia Jones of Lawton, OK. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Kenneth Anderson will officiate at the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Flynn's Lick Fire Department by contacting the funeral home.
