Graveside services for Mrs. Rena K. Fuqua, 99, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, April 20, 2020, at the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville, TN. There will be no visitation or services at the funeral home. She passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020, at Signature Health Care in Algood, TN. She was born April 9, 1921, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Marlin S. Kirby and Mattie Meadows Kirby. She was married to the late Lawrence Fuqua. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Smyrna Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Linda Carol Fuqua Adams; 2 Brothers: Joe Kirby and Clarence Kirby; and 2 Sisters: Effie Carter and Ila Burgess. Survivors include 1 Son: Steve Fuqua of Cookeville, TN; 1 Grandchild: Bret Snow of Gallatin, TN; Great Grandchildren: Jacob E. Snow and Taylor E. Snow, of Gallatin, TN; Nieces and Nephews: Kim, Michelle, Charles, Karen, Joseph, Greg, Larry, and Peggy. James Rogers will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Smyrna Church of Christ or St. Jude Childrens Hospital by contacting the funeral home.
