Reba I. Hopkins

Reba I. Hopkins was born January 23, 1930 in Jackson County, TN and she passed away at her residence in Gainesboro on Friday, July 28, 2023 at the age of 93.

Reba was the daughter of Louis Radford Martin, Sr and Mary Belle Mayberry Martin.  She was a  member of the New Salem Church of Christ and a retired factory worker.

She was married to Charles W. Hopkins on December 21, 1951.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, Aline Chaffin, Lois (Ider) Spurlock, Mary Jean Garrison Mayberry, Grace Martin and Louise Martin; three brothers, Junior Martin, Hollis Martin and Billy Herman Martin.

Survived by her husband of 71 years, Charles W. Hopkins, Sr. of Gainesboro; son, Charles W. (Donna)  Hopkins, Jr. of Gainesboro; two daughters, Bobbie Sue (Tommy) Davidson of Gainesboro and Wanda Jean (David) Tucker of Cookeville.  nine grandchildren, Seth (Missy) Tucker, Jessica (Jason) Hardy, Melissa (David) Snipes, Heather (Andy) Melton, Andrea (Clay) Thaxton, Brent (Carly) Davidson, Ashley (Caleb) Richardson, Adrianne (Jim) Phann, and Brandon (Amber) Hopkins.

Visitation will be on Sunday, July 30, 2023, 12 pm to 2 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be at 2 pm on Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Terry Newberry officiating.  Burial will follow in Allentown Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Allentown Cemetery by contacting the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Seth Tucker, Eli Tucker, Jacob Hardy, Brandon Hopkins, Brent Davidson, Clay Thaxton and Ryan Hopkins.
