Reba Gay Davidson

Funeral services for Mrs. Reba Doris Gay Davidson, 77, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 3 P.M. on Sunday, September 30, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 P. M. - 9 P. M., Saturday from 10 A.M. - 9 P.M., and Sunday from 10 A.M. until time of services. Mrs. Davidson passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2007, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born June 9, 1930, in DeKalb County, TN, to the late Ewin and Etta Arlene Gay. On September 6, 1947, she was married to the late Bernice Lee Davidson, who passed away September 10, 2006. She was the former owner of a furniture store and a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 5 Brothers: J.L., Willie Otha, Willard, Sam, and James Gay; and 2 Sisters: Gertie Tucker and Wilma Webb. Survivors include 2 Sons: Richard Lee Davidson and Thomas Eugene Davidson, both of Gainesboro, TN ; 1 Daughter: Deborah Faye Stone of Northville, MI; 2 Half - Brothers: Joe F. Gay of Wyandotte, MI, and William Gay of Sparta, TN; and 3 Half - Sisters: Allie Mae Parsley, Bertha Leslie, and Carolyn Smith, all of Sparta, TN. 12 Grandchildren and 18 Great-Grandchildren also survive.
