Raymond Willmore

Funeral services for Mr. Raymond Willmore, 97, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 - 9 P.M. and Sunday from 12 noon until time of services. He passed away on Friday, April 19, 2013, at the Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. He was born January 26, 1916 in Jackson County, TN, to the late Benton McMillian Willmore and Exie V. Clark Willmore. He worked for the State Highway Department, served on the Jackson County Election Commission, and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of the Stone Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents: Benton McMillian & Exie V. Clark Willmore; 3 Brothers: Jim, Edward, and Benton McMillian Willmore, Jr.; and 3 Sisters: Ruth Hawkins, Catherine Burris, and Louise Butler. Survivors include his Brother: L.C. "Sam" Willmore and wife, Robbie of Chattanooga, TN; and 1 Sister: Rebecca Brown of Gainesboro, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Bro. Mike Dyer and Bro.
