Funeral services for Mr. Raymond Flatt, 84, of Bloomington Springs, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery in Cookeville, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 - 8 P.M. and on Wednesday from 11 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born August 24, 1934, in Gainesboro, TN, to the late Albert and Ethel Mayberry Flatt. He was married to the late Joy Gentry Flatt, who passed away on November 28, 1998. He was retired from Carwile Mechanical Contractors. He enjoyed gardening and raising chickens. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 2 Infant Sons: Larry and Garry Flatt and 1 Brother: Charles E. Flatt. Survivors include 2 Sons: Dennis (Donna) Flatt of Manchester, TN and Dr. Steven G. Flatt of Cookeville, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Jason Flatt and Lyndsey Flatt both of Cookeville, TN and Rachel Flatt of Manchester, TN; 1 Sister: Carolyn Pippin of Cookeville, TN; Loving Companion: Bonnie Wills of Sparta, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Bro. John Mabery will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation.
