Ray Douglas Dailey

Funeral services for Mr. Ray Douglas Dailey, 69, of Celina, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, January 5, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Sunday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Friday, January 3, 2014, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born November 5, 1944, in Jackson County, TN, to the late John Dailey and Daisey Lynn Dailey. He was married to Betty Jean Dailey, who survives. He worked in commercial construction, and served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 Brothers: Garland, Clyde, Bill, Hugo, and Jack Dailey; and 1 Sister: Hazel Allen. Survivors include his Wife: Betty Jean Dailey of Celina, TN; 2 Sons: Clint (Pam) Dailey of Cookeville, TN, and Randy Strong of Celina, TN; 1 Daughter: Sandy (Jeff) Goolsby of Gosport, IN; 4 Grandchildren: Jeremy, Nathan, Nicholas, and Maggie; 3 Step-Grandchildren: Wade, Kristen, and Kyle; 3 Brothers: Rod (Pat) Dailey of SC; John (Betty) Dailey, Jr. and J.B. Dailey, all of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Sister: Shirley (John I.) Heady of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Sister-in-Law: Gail Dailey of Sweetwater, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
