Funeral services for Mr. Ray C. Allen, 59, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 - 9 P.M., and on Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Allen passed away on Monday, July 2, 2007, at his sister's residence in Putnam County, TN. He was born June 23, 1948, in Jackson County, TN, to Mae Pedigo Allen and the late Clarence C. Allen. He was married to the late Barbara Jo Nealon Allen. He was a logger, and a member of the New Salem Church of Christ. Survivors include 1 Daughter: Wendy Bradshaw and husband, Jeff of Cookeville, TN; his mother: Mae Pedigo Allen of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Brother: Aldon Allen and wife, Diane of Eastpointe, MI; 1 Sister: Betty Stewart of Cookeville, TN; 2 Nieces: Lisa Collins and Tammy Smith; and 2 Nephews: Aldon Allen II and Brandon Mitchell Allen.
