Ray Anderson Pippin

Ray Anderson Pippin was born February 21, 1942 in Jackson County, TN and he passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the age of 81.

Ray was the son of Claude D. and Zina Lou Petty Pippin.  He was a retired employee of Jackson County, TN and a member of the Center Grove Church of Christ.

Preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife: Opal Keith Pippin; step sons: Robert Biggs, Darrell Biggs, and Benny Wilson, brothers, Richard Pippin, Ralph "Frosty" Pippin sisters,  Peggy Pippin, Mary Sisk, Sue Seat, and Peggy Pippin.

Survivors include his sister, Barbara Cunningham of Gainesboro; step daughters, Margie Compton of Lebanon and  Loretta Moore of Celina; nephew: Randall Seat; nieces: Brenda Sisco, Phyllis Heady, Kim Manning and  Jackie Taylor; several step grandchildren and other relatives and many friends also survive.

Memorial services for will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023, at 5 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN, with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. The family has chosen cremation. Visitation will be Monday from 1 P.M. - 5 P.M.
