Memorial services for Ralph Raymond Burroughs, 66, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11 A.M. until time of services. The family has chosen cremation. He passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017. He was born in Newbury, Vermont, to John Rainsford Burroughs and Flavia Dominga Burroughs. He spent time in Connecticut and California before settling in Gainesboro, TN, where he owned and operated Burroughs Body Shop for 30 years. After closing the body shop, he spent a few years working throughout the Southeast on mobile homes. Ralph was well liked by all and always willing to help friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his Wife: Sue Burroughs; 2 Sons: Dwayne and Jeffery Burroughs; and 1 Brother-in-Law: Gordon Gardner. Survivors include 1 Brother: John Rainsford Burroughs, Jr. and wife, Sharon, of Fairfield, CA; 3 Sisters: Ellie Reyes-Farr and husband, William Farr of New Britain, CT, Jessie Gardner of Gainesboro, TN, and Alma Sporman and husband, Ron of Leesburg, FL; Nieces: Rose Flatt and Lisa Hammock and husband, Michael; and Nephews: Tony Reyes of Huntington, NY; along with several other nieces and nephews.
