Funeral services for Mr. Ralph Flatt, 80, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, December 8, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Union Hill-Flatt Cemetery in Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 7 from 3 until 9 P.M. Mr. Flatt passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born May 8, 1927, in Putnam County, Tennessee, to the late Bert T. and Erlene Lacy Flatt. He was a warehouse supervisor and a member of the McBroom Chapel Church of Christ. He was also a member of the VFW and served with the United States Marine Corp during World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife: Lorraine Flatt, 1 Son: Ralphie Flatt, 1 Step-son: Mark Edward Suggs, and 1 Sister: Minnie Hamlet. Survivors include his Wife: Lucille Pippin Suggs Flatt of Cookeville, TN; 1 daughter: Sharon and husband Michael Brown of Dearborn, Michigan; 1 Step-son: Larry and wife Charlotte Suggs of Cookeville, TN; 2 Grandsons: Travis Brown and Jason Flatt; 1 Granddaughter: Jennifer Flatt; 1 Great Grandson: Owen Michael Brown; 4 Step Grandchildren: Matthew Suggs, April Dyer, Kristin Christian, and Taylor Suggs; 3 Step Great Grandchildren: Trenton Christian, Katie Christian, and Cayden Mahan; 3 Brothers: Fenis Flatt and Faye Flatt of Cookeville, TN; and Farlin Flatt of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Sister Audrey Whitaker of Gainesboro, TN.
