Polly Ragland

Funeral services for Mrs. Polly Ragland, 83, of Cookeville, TN, and formerly of the Flynn's Lick community of Jackson County, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born August 6, 1933, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Everett Cornwell and Jessie Moncrief. On December 12, 1948, she was married to the late Tom Ragland, who passed away October 3, 1993. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Sycamore Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Sister: Patricia Thomas; 1 Son-in-Law: C.J. Medlin; and Special Friend: Sookie Parker. Survivors include 1 Son: James E. Ragland of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Daughters: Patty (Mike) Dyer, Judy Maynard, and Peggy Medlin, all of Cookeville, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Erin Ledbetter, Joshua Kimes, Daric Parks, and Justin Maynard; 1 Great Grandson: Hudson Ledbetter; 1 Brother: Doug (Norma) Cornwell of Hendersonville, TN; and 1 Sister: Linda Ramsey of Cookeville, TN.
