Polly Frances Hamlett

Funeral services for Mrs. Polly Frances Hamlett, 89, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, June 27, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 - 9 P.M., and Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mrs. Hamlett passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2005, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tennessee. She was born March 31, 1916, in Jackson County to the late Henry Johnson and Leitha Coomer Johnson. She was married to the late Clifford Hamlett, who passed away on September 1, 1971. Mrs. Hamlett was part owner of the former Johnson and Hamlett Garage. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 8 Brothers: Nathan, Sanford, Lattie, Elvis, Tom, Vestal, Virgil, and Oakley Johnson; and 3 Sisters: Lassie, Elvie, and Ella Johnson. Survivors include 1 Sister: Rozell Brown of Gainesboro, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
