Phyllis Bain Hawkins

Funeral services for Mrs. Phyllis Bain Hawkins, 89, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Gainesboro First United Methodist Church in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and at the church on Thursday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Monday, March 14, 2011, at her residence. She was born August 24, 1921, in Baxter, TN, to the late James Anderson Bain and Bonnie Nunally Bain. On August 24, 1946, she was married to the late John Willie Hawkins, who passed away March 4, 1983. She was retired from Twin Lakes Telephone Co., and a member of the Gainesboro First United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: David Bain Hawkins; 4 Sisters: Pearl York, Nell Bain, Elizabeth Feak, and Ruth Wooten; and 2 Brothers: James Bain and Bill Bain. Survivors include 2 Sons: James Wm. (Brenda) Hawkins and Joe Frank (Shirley) Hawkins, all of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Johnny Margaret (Joe) Loftis of Gainesboro, TN; 10 Grandchildren: Lisa Loftis, James (Shannon) Hawkins, Jr., Jennifer Loftis, Shane Hawkins, Jason Loftis, Sam Hawkins, Stephen Loftis, John Hawkins, Angela Hawkins, and Daniel Hawkins; 4 Great-Grandchildren: Holly Hawkins, Hannah Hawkins, Ryan Hawkins, and Lilly Hawkins; and 1 Brother: Frank Bain of Baxter, TN.
