Philip Eugene Foster

Mr. Philip Eugene Foster, age 81, a resident of Silver Point, TN, passed away on Thursday, November 1. The family has chosen cremation. Military services and burial in the Judd Cemetery will occur at a later date. Mr. Foster passed away at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born December 29, 1925, in Sayre, PA, to the late Clarence and Lucy Green Foster. Mr. Foster was married to the late Beatrice Lathrop Foster. He was a farmer and stock car owner and racer in Pennsylvania. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, enjoyed making cedar bird houses, and was a caring and kind gentleman. Mr. Foster was preceded in death by his parents: Clarence Foster and Lucy Green Foster; his wife: Beatrice Lathrop Foster; 3 Sisters: Flora White, Arlene Shoemaker, and Mary Darrow; 1 Grandson: Joseph Eugene Moore; and Clarence Foster, Jr., whom he raised as a son. Survivors include 1 Daughter: Carol - Elaine Kelly; 1 Grandson: Cecil C. Moore; 3 Great-Grandchildren: Doug Moore, Hunter Moore, and Rachel Moore; and Nieces and Nephews in PA: Linda Leonard, Donna Rae Stiner, White siblings, Judy Chamberlain, David and Earl Swain, and Foster siblings.
