Perry Norman Chaffin

Funeral services for Mr. Perry Norman Chaffin, 78, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone Community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 P.M. - 8 P. M., and on Wednesday from 10 A.M until time of services. Mr. Chaffin passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born September 12, 1933, in Jackson County, Tennessee, to the late Norman Chaffin and Hattie Harris Chaffin. On August 28, 1954, he was married to the late Bettye Bryan Chaffin, who passed away September 28, 2008. He was a retired supervisor at Twin Lakes Telephone Co., and a member of the Gainesboro Church of Christ. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Sister: Jamie Chaffin Hix. Survivors include 2 Sons: Neal and his wife, Alma Chaffin of Gainesboro, TN, and Robert and his wife, Lila Chaffin of Madison, TN; 2 Grandchildren: Teneal (Jackie) Jenkins of Gainesboro, TN, and Bettina (Jon) Dawson of Crab Orchard, TN; 3 Great-Grandchildren: Mallory Lauren Jenkins, Jon Garrett Dawson, and Gavin Perry Jenkins; and 4 Sisters: Mary (Billie) Myers and Velma Jo (Gary) Norton, all of Gainesboro, TN; Matilda Craighead of Cookeville, TN; and Geraldine (Jon) Collins of Portland, TN. Bro. Dan Huffines and Bro. John Mabery will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to the Chaffin Cemetery by contacting the funeral home.
