Funeral services for Mr. Perry L. Jackson, Jr., 80, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, October 15, 2010, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 9 A.M. - 9 P. M., and on Friday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born January 26, 1930, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Perry Lee Jackson, Sr. and Edna "Daisy" Kinnaird Jackson. He was married to the late Maudie Jackson. He was a retired brick layer, an honorary Kentucky Colonel, and a 32nd degree Mason. He served in the U.S. Army and was affiliated with the Church of Christ. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Russell Jackson and Charles Joe Jackson; and 1 Sister: Etta Clyde Brown. Survivors include 1 Brother: Col. Edgar (Ruth) Jackson of Montgomery, IL; 1 Sister: Grace Jackson of Gainesboro, TN; and his Niece: Kathy Phillips and her husband Glynn, and family of Gainesboro, TN.
