Funeral services for Rev. Perry F. Allen, 84, of Livingston, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born September 27, 1929, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Everett Allen and Martha Flatt Allen. On December 4, 1948, he was married to Charnell "Nell" Allen, who survives. He was retired from General Motors, and graduated from Dayton Bible College in Dayton, OH. He pastored 5 churches in Ohio, Tennessee, and Florida, most recently serving Burristown Assembly of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Sister: Mildred Dillon; and 2 Brothers: Eugene and Ray Allen. Survivors include his Wife: Charnell "Nell" Allen of Livingston, TN; 2 Sons: Michael (Coletje) Allen of Cochran, GA, and Kenneth (Brenda) Allen of Livingston, TN; 2 Daughters: Vivette Bowling of Dayton, OH, and Stephanie (Kevin) O'Connor of Tallahassee, FL; 6 Brothers; 4 Sisters; 15 Grandchildren; and 7 Great Grandchildren. Pastor Freddie Looper will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to Teen Challenge or the First Assembly of God in Livingston, TN, by contacting the funeral home.
