Funeral services for Penny Maxwell, 53, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, August 29, 2020, at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Penny requested was to be cremated and the family has honored her wishes. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, in Jackson County, TN. She was born December 12, 1966, in Marino, IN, to Audrey Elrod and the late Arles E. Maxwell. She worked as an LPN for 32 years, and was a member of the River Church in Cookeville. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by 1 Granddaughter: Emma Linares. Survivors include 2 Sons: Talyn (Kaitlyn) Bilbrey and Tandyn Dalton, both of Baxter, TN; 1 Daughter: Tasey Marie (Ulises Linares) Hall of Cookeville, TN; Grandchildren: Carter Hall, Emma Linares, Emmelia Linares, Milo Linares, Alex Linares, Eileen Linares, and Kyla Bilbrey; her Mother: Audrey Elrod of Carthage, TN; 3 Brothers: Ernest Maxwell, Jay Maxwell, and Lee Maxwell, all of Monterey, TN; 1 Sister: Cassie Reeves of Gainesboro, TN; and her Significant Other: James Whitaker. Bro. Danny Lane will officiate at the services. The Tennessee Nurses Honor Guard will provide honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to assist with funeral expenses by contacting the funeral home.
