Funeral services for Mrs. Peggy Virginia Jones, 66, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at the McCoinsville Church of Christ in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and at the church on Thursday from 11 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at her residence. She was born July 12, 1951, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Carlos Allen and Hazel Thomas. She was married to Mackie Jones, who survives. She was a factory worker at Crotty, and a member of the McCoinsville Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: James Allen; and 1 Sister: Barbara Scurlock. Survivors include her Husband: Mackie Jones of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Brandon Jones of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Jennifer Scantland of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Tyler Scantland, Hope Scantland, Jordan Scantland, and Braden Jones; and 1 Brother: Ricky Allen of Cookeville, TN. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Bro. Duane Gossett will officiate at the services.
