Funeral services for Mrs. Peggy Sue Lane Breshears, 80, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, and formerly of Springfield, MO, will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Greenlawn Funeral Home Pitts Chapel in Bolivar, MO. Burial will follow in the Mount View Cemetery in Polk County, MO. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2011, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born March 14, 1930, in Halfway, Missouri, to the late William Jasper Lane and Lucy Pearl Roberts Lane. In October of 1947, she was married to the late David Brooks Breshears, who passed away April 16, 1987. She was a homemaker, and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of the Christian Church, who was baptized into Christ on November 19, 1944. She spent the past four years with her daughter in Tennessee. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 4 Brothers: Virgil, Clyde, Carl and her twin, Bill Lane; and 4 Sisters: Dixie Reed, Betty Breshears, Velma Agee and Gladys Mosher. Survivors include 4 Sons: David Gary (Joanie) Breshears of Mt. Juliet, TN; William Kent Breshears of Springfield, MO; Steven Lee (Ellen) Breshears of Brentwood, TN; and Kevin Lane Breshears of Springfield, MO; 1 Daughter: Janice Kay (Dr. Ted) Gaw of Gainesboro, TN; 6 Grandchildren: Michelle (Chris) Colburn of Lees Summit, MO; Heather (Chris) Moore of Pleasant Hill, MO; Eric (Lacey) Gaw of Hermitage, TN; Brad Gaw and Joel Gaw, both of Gainesboro, TN, and Kelsey Breshears of Nashville, TN; 9 Great Grandchildren: Quinn, Aidan, Jean, & Tate Colburn; Kyle, Joshua, Emma, Julia, and Grace Moore, all of MO; and 1 Sister: Pearl Burgett of Springfield, MO. Bro. Ted Gaw will officiate at the services.
