Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline (Hawkins) Poston, 86, of Hilham, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Wednesday from 12 Noon until time of services. Mrs. Poston passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2009, at Troy Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan. She was born March 26, 1922, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Luke and Viena Carwile Allen. She was a homemaker, and a member of the New Hope Community Church in the New Hope community of Jackson County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Willie H. Hawkins; 3 Brothers: Aubrey Allen, Doyle Allen, and Don Allen; and 1 Sister: Norma Dickerson. Survivors include 5 Daughters: Wanda (Deward) Edwards, Janis (Joseph) O'Bryan, and Roselle Durr, all of Madison Heights, MI, Janet (Leon) Marsee of Roseville, MI, and Marcia (Jerry) Roberts of Hodges, SC; and 1 Sister: Louise Hammock of Cookeville, TN. 12 Grandchildren, 14 Great- Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren also survive.
