Paul Whitworth

Funeral services for Mr. Paul George Whitworth, 72, of Granville, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, January 2, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Anderson Cemetery in the Flynns Lick community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 A.M. - 8 P.M., and Sunday from 11 A.M. until time of services at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mr. Whitworth passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2004, at his residence in Granville. He was born June 18, 1932, in Detroit, Texas, to the late Harlan Whitworth and Annie Brundige Whitworth. Mr. Whitworth was a retired farmer, and was affiliated with the Gainesboro First Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Little Paul Whitworth; 2 Brothers: Pete and Boss Whitworth; and 2 Sisters: Annie Pauline and Linda Sue Whitworth. Survivors include 3 Daughters and 1 Son-in-Law: Janice and Larry Gipson of Granville, TN, Reba Thomas of Amarillo, TX, and Linda Whitworth of Tulia, TX; 5 Grandchildren: Seth (Ashley) Gipson of Cross Plains, TN, Cody Gipson and Amanda (Tyrell Bowman) Gipson of Granville, TN, Shelby Thomas and Chelsea Thomas both of Amarillo, TX; 6 Brothers: Buddy Whitworth, Steve Whitworth, Vernon Whitworth, Tilman Whitworth, Jerry Whitworth, and Randall Whitworth; 4 Sisters: Frances Cavey, Hazel Morris, Dorothy Wooldrige, and Sissy Jestis; and his devoted nephew: Larry Nichols of Granville, TN Bro.
