Funeral services for Mr. Paul Meadows, 89, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 10 A.M. on Friday, March 13, 2015, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Friday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015, at Signature Health Care Center in Algood, TN. He was born August 6, 1925, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Will Gabe Meadows and Zander Meadows Smallwood. On June 10, 1944, he was married to the late Virginia Meadows, who passed away October 26, 2014. He was a custodial worker, and a member of the McCoinsville Church of Christ. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Grandchildren: Brad Whitaker and Andy Meadows; 1 Great Great Grandchild: Abigail Melissa Nicole Steward; and 2 Sisters: Bell Dixon and Louise Jones. Survivors include 2 Sons: Paul E. (Kay) Meadows of Cookeville, TN, and Benny (Pat) Meadows of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Daughters: Sue (Fred) Warden of Cookeville, TN, Betty (Willis) Walker of Hendersonville, TN, and Beverly (Michael) Shrum of Hermitage, TN; 1 Brother: Tommy Smallwood of Old Hickory, TN; 2 Sisters: Nell Strait of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Bonnie Jean Head of Gainesboro, TN; 7 Grandchildren; and 13 Great Grandchildren. Bro. O'Neal Huffines will officiate at the services.
