Patsy Huffines Denton

Funeral services for Patsy Huffines Denton, 85, of Frederick, Maryland, will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Richmond Chapel Church of Christ in Gainesboro, Tennessee. The family will receive visitors from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. before the service. Burial will follow at Draper Cemetery in the Wartrace community of Jackson County, Tennessee. Patsy passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024, at her residence in Frederick, Maryland.  Patsy was born on June 17, 1939, in Jackson County, Tennessee, to the late Curry Huffines and Madge Draper Huffines. She worked as an administrative assistant in local schools and was a devoted homemaker. A longtime member of the Church of Christ, Patsy touched the lives of many with her kindness and faith. 

Patsy is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Harold Draper Denton, whom she married on August 10, 1959; two daughters, Gaye Denton and Donna (Daniel) Frank; and three grandchildren: Ty (Emma) Heisey, River Frank, and Derek Frank. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Carey Heisey, who passed away in 2020. Patsy is also survived by one great-granddaughter, Payton Frank.  

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Draper Huffines and O’Neal Huffines, and two sisters, Eva West and Margaret Juanita Richardson.  

Matthew Scoggins will officiate the service.
