Patsy Ann Hix

Age 80

Patsy "Pat" Hix was born September 28, 1943, in Clay County, TN and she passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN at the age of 80.


She was the daughter of the late Lester Thrasher and Augusta Mable Conner Thrasher. She married Mr. Charlie Alfred Hix on February 22, 1964.  Pat was a member of the Whitleyville Church of Christ.  She retired from Jackson County Bank & Trust where she held the position of bank teller. 


Pat was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She always took pride in her appearance and was always well dressed and groomed.  She loved spending time with her family and always made them a priority in her life.  Pat enjoyed working in her flower gardens and taking care of her hummingbirds and their feeders.  Everyone that knew Pat was aware of her love for the Lord.  She took pride in her family and her faith.  She will leave a void in the lives of all that knew her.

 

Preceded in death by her parents: Lester Thrasher and Augusta Mable Connor Thrasher; sisters: Shelia Mofield and Peggy Thrasher.


Survivors include her husband: Charlie A. Hix; son: Charles Randall (Michelle) Hix of Whitleyville, TN, sister: Brenda Coffee of Livingston, TN; grandchildren: Charles Matthew (Stephanie) Hix of Cookeville, TN and Olivia (Ethan) Kirby of Whitleyville, TN and Josh Mee of Whitleyville, TN; great grandchildren: Jayce Hix, Jayden Hix, Maggie Hix, Landon Hix, Kyler Mee and Ellee Kirby;  special niece: Kimberly Moore.  Numerous other family members along with friends also survive.


Visitation will begin on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 4 PM until 8 PM.  Visitation will resume on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 12 Noon until time of services.  Funeral Services will begin on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 3 PM in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Interment will be at John L Clark Cemetery with Bro. Duane Gossett and Bro Danny Scott officiating.


Memorial donations may be made to the Charles Ralph Holland Memorial Library in Jackson County, TN by contacting the funeral home.  Pat was an avid reader and the money donated will be used to purchase books in her honor.
