Patrick "Blue" Chaffin

Funeral services for Mr. Patrick Nelson "Blue" Chaffin, 89, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, September 27, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Friday from 11 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born October 13, 1923, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Patrick Chaffin and Mary Bell Young Chaffin. He was a factory worker and farmer, and a member of the Shiloh Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 Brothers: Harold, Lon, Willie B., Zeb, and Earnest Chaffin; 5 Sisters: Sally Locke, Lizzie Mae Pippin, Zella Pippin, Cora Nell Chaffin, and Lola Mildred Pippin; and a Special Niece: Doris Chaffin. Survivors include Special Niece: Betty and her husband, Junior Sherrill of Cookeville, TN; and several nieces and nephews. Bro. Doyle B. Wilmoth will officiate at the services.
