Orville R. Payne

Memorial services for Mr. Orville R. Payne, 82, of the Harmony community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 5 P.M. on Friday, October 14, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. The family has chosen cremation. The family will receive friends Friday from 3 P.M. - 5 P.M. Mr. Payne passed away on Monday, October 10, 2005, at his residence. He was born March 12, 1923, in Littleton, Colorado, to the late Arthur Rutherford Payne and Helen Day Payne. On December 21, 1944, he was married to Elizabeth Ruth Payne, who survives. Mr. Payne was retired from the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Gainesboro, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Arthur Payne, Jr. Survivors include His wife: Elizabeth Ruth Payne of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Samuel (Patricia) Payne of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Jason Payne, Amanda Bilbrey, Aubrey Wilson, and Joey Payne; and 3 Great- Grandchildren: Jamie Payne, Haley Payne, and Jacob Payne.
