Opal Elizabeth Sadler

Funeral services for Mrs. Opal Elizabeth Sadler, 91, of Celina, Tennessee, and formerly of Gainesboro, will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, March 16, 2012, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3 P.M. - 9 P. M. and Friday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born November 7, 1920, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Johnnie W. and Lola Ann Moss Stafford. On November 26, 1938, she was married to the late Howard Lee Sadler who passed away January 2, 2001. She was a factory worker and a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Granddaughter: Jo Helen Wright; 1 Son-in-law: Jakie Ray Wright; 1 Brother: John "Yank" Stafford; and 3 half- brothers: Ed Stafford, Raggio Stafford, and Durwood Stafford. Survivors include 2 daughters and one son-in-law: Mary Helen Wright of Cookeville, TN; and Betty Ruth and husband, Roy Lee Hix, of Gainesboro, TN. Bro. Tom Lyles will officiate at the services.
