Odus C. Stafford

Funeral services for Mr. Odus C. Stafford, 75, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, February 9, 2008, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Peek Cemetery in the Harmony community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 P.M. - 9 P.M., Friday from 12 Noon - 9 P.M., and Saturday from 9 A. M. until time of services Mr. Stafford passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born September 6, 1932, in Jackson County, Tennessee, to the late Jess and Susie Smith Stafford. On December 29, 1953, he was married to Mary E. Stafford, who survives. He was a brick mason and worked in residential construction. He was a member of the Harmony Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Johnny Roscoe Stafford and Fowler Kirk Stafford; 1 Sister: Bonnie Lackey; 1 Son-in-Law: Randall Wilson; and 1 Step-Sister: Helen Crowe. Survivors include his Wife: Mary E. Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Danny Wayne Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Peggy Wilson and Phyllis (Mike) Andrews, all of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Shannon (Karen) Wilson, Jessica (Todd) Kidder, Kelly (Jason) Emerton, and Tara (Joey) Stevens; 8 Great-Grandchildren: Daniel and Maddox Wilson, Ella Grace Wilson, Jessica Dyer, Peyton Emerton, Sarah and Rachel Kidder, and Wade Stevens; 2 Sisters: Thelma (Bob) Hammons and Margie (J.D.) Hensley, all of Dayton, Ohio; 2 Step - Sisters: Stella Ruth McDonald and Mary Ann Osbourne; and 1 Step - Brother: Buddy Gene Burris. Several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Odus C.
