Odell Scott

Funeral services for Mr. Odell Scott, 77, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, November 28, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pigg Cemetery in the Fairview community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12 Noon - 9 P.M., and Saturday from 9 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Scott passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at his residence. He was born July 27, 1932, in Jackson County, TN to the late Avert and Ruby Pigg Scott. He was a retired clerk at Twin Lakes Telephone Co. He attended the Hurricane Church of Christ, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 Children who passed away before birth; 2 Brothers and 1 Sister-in-Law: James U.L. Scott and Melvin & Glendis Scott; and 2 Brothers-in-Law: Gene Allen and Lex Jones. Survivors include 2 Sons: James U.L. Scott of Dayton, Ohio, and Tommy Dale Scott of Cookeville, TN, and his ex-wife, Renee; 2 Grandchildren: Chelsea Renee and Zachary Dale Scott; 1 Brother: Billy R. (Patsy) Scott of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Sisters: Aline Allen, Frances (Kenneth) Luck, and Judy Scott, all of Gainesboro, TN, and Mattie Jo Jones of Dayton, OH; and several Nieces and Nephews: Gary Allen, Danny Allen, Bobby Jones, Jackie Jones, Betty Sue Conley, Kenny Luck, Ronnie Luck, David Luck, Vicki Keen, Wendell Scott, Julia Scott, Shelley Gibson, Scotty Scott, and Greg Scott.
