Funeral services for Mrs. Norma Jewell Mitchell, 72, of Bloomington Springs, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Byers Cemetery in the Center Grove community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Wednesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016, at TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She was born March 15, 1943, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Preston Thomas and Maude Thomas. She was married to Billy Mitchell, who survives. She was a factory worker at Cummins Fleetguard, and a member of the Center Grove Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: R.B. Thomas and Richard Thomas; and Special Friend: Pauline "Podge" Haney. Survivors include her Husband: Billy Mitchell of Bloomington Springs, TN. Numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. John Mabery will officiate at the services.
