Funeral services for Mrs. Nina Bean Burgess, 75, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Clay County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 Noon until time of services. She passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Life Care Center of Sparta, TN. She was born September 12, 1942, in Hermitage Springs, TN, to the late Herman Bean and Madge Browning Bean. She was retired from food service at Cookeville Regional Medical Center, and was a member of the New Salem Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 Brothers: Charles, Faye, Malcolm, and Darrell Bean; and 1 Sister: Bernice Bean. Survivors include 1 Son: Charles S. Burgess, Jr. of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Kimberly (Randy) Brown of Crossville, TN, and Michelle Burgess of Nashville, TN; 5 Grandchildren: Lindsey Brown, Lauren (Landon) Sherrill, Leslie Brown, Mark Brown, and Samantha (Curtis) Shannon; 1 Great - Grandchild: Spencer Shannon; 1 Brother: Delbert Bean of Oak Forest, IL; and 2 Sisters: Rosalene Bean of Oak Forest, IL, and Jean Moore of Dickson, TN. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to Happy Haven Home, the Arthritis Foundation, or by donating a book to the Charles Ralph Holland Library.
