Nick Carter

Nick Carter was born October 8, 1957, in Jackson, MI, and he passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the age of 64. He was the son of the late David Carter and Gladys Johnson Carter. He was a police officer, and the former chief deputy of Jackson County. He served as the SRO at Jackson County High School, and also served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: David Carter; and 1 Sister: Zelda Carter. Survivors include 2 Sons: Jerry Carter of Gainesboro, TN, and Brandon Carter of Fort Myers, FL; 4 Daughters: Amanda Carter of OK, Samantha Carter of Cookeville, TN, Kathlyn Pierce of Albany, KY, and Rosie Carter of Butte, Montana; 3 Sisters: Rachel Vaughn of Cookeville, TN, Diane Carter of Jackson, MI, and Margaret Meglich of Ringgold, GA; 11 Grandchildren; and 8 Great Grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at Jackson County High School on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 11:30 am.
