Funeral services for Mrs. Nettie E. Birdwell, 74, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Anderson Cemetery in the Flynns Lick community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 3 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Tuesday from 11 A.M. until time of services. Mrs. Birdwell passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2009, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born March 19, 1935, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Daniel Webster and Cindy Irene Richmond. She was a factory worker at Heavy Duty Mfg. Co. and Crotty. She was of the Mormon faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Harold Lee Richmond; and 1 Sister: Ruby Elise Haney. Survivors include 3 Sisters: Ruth Marie Meadows of Cookeville, TN, Lois Kilburn of Decaturville, TN, and Margie Durham of Cookeville, TN.
