Nesbert "Pete" Jones

Funeral services for Mr. Nesbert "Pete" Jones, 83, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, April 6, 2012, at Oliver Funeral Home in Winona, Mississippi. Burial will follow in the Hayes Creek Cemetery in Mississippi. He passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. He was born February 10, 1929, in Duck Hill, Mississippi, to the late Carl Jones and Maureen Crim Jones. On December 22, 1966, he was married to Marjorie Jones, who survives. He was retired from the United States Navy, and from Heat Craft in Greenada, Mississippi. He was raised a Methodist, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and the Vietnam Era. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Grandchildren: Kevin Michael Wright and Joshua L. Wright; and 5 Brothers. Survivors include his Wife: Marjorie Jones of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sons: Stanley D. Wright of Senatobia, Mississippi, and Kevin M. Wright of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Juanita Jones Hardin of Celina, TN, and Cassandra Wright Pangan of Honolulu, Hawaii; 5 Grandchildren: Cory Hardin, Christina Hardin, Audrey Wright, Neal Wright, and Brandon Pangan; 1 Great-Grandchild: Parker Wright; 1 Brother: Millard Jones; and 2 Sisters: Lena Jeffcoat and Lamell Henley.
