Neal Pharris

Funeral services for Mr. Neal Pharris, 70, of Whitleyville, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Pharris passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2009, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was born August 28, 1938, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Acie and Arlona Langford Pharris. On August 3, 1962, he was married to Patty Gail Pharris, who survives. He was a farmer and a member of the Missionary Baptist Church at Pleasant Grove. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Thomas, Nelson and Norman Pharris; and 1 Sister: Dorothy Pharris Survivors include his Wife: Patty Gail Pharris of Whitleyville, TN; 2 Daughters and Sons-in-law: Lisa and Randy Ragland of Whitleyville, TN; and Karen and Mike Head of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Grandchildren: Derek and Nikki Ragland; 1 Brother: Noah Pharris of Gamaliel, KY; and 2 Sisters: Emma Wilkerson of Goodlettsville, TN, and Edna Dodson of Red Boiling Springs, TN.
