Funeral services for Mrs. Navoy Hawkins Cassetty, 83, of Gainesboro, Tennessee will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, October 5, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone Community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3 P.M. - 8 P.M. and Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born May 14, 1930, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Dillard and Lillie Gentry Hawkins. She was married to the late Charles E. Cassetty, who passed away on April 21, 2006. She was a homemaker, a member of the Gainesboro Church of Christ, and an avid golfer. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 3 Sisters: Daffo Hawkins West, Agnes Hogg, and Doyce Z. Smith; and 1 Daughter-in-law: Angela Reed Cassetty. Survivors include 1 Son: John B. Cassetty of Gainesboro TN; 2 Daughters: Deborah (Mike) Searcy and Charlene (Eldon) Witcher, both of Gainesboro, TN; 5 Grandchildren: Beth (Tommy) Brown, Ashley (Doug) Groves, Candance Brown, Anna (Jackson) Moran, and Ian Bennett Cassetty; 5 Great- Grandchildren: Colby Brown, Conner Brown, Cameron Groves, Kristin Groves, and Riley Marie Moran; 4 Brothers: Kinner (Norma) Hawkins of Cookeville, TN; J.V. (Betty) Hawkins of Oak Ridge, TN; Bill Fred Hawkins of Georgia, and Ronel (Janice) Hawkins of Texas and 1 Sister: Harriette Coffer of Oak Ridge, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Bro. Wayne Wells and Bro. Edward Anderson will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to the Happy Haven Home for Children, the Alex Cassetty Memorial Fund, or the donor's favorite charity by contacting the funeral home.
