Nancy Rich

Nancy Marie Averitt Rich was born April 19, 1951 and she passed away peacefully at her home on February 14, 2025.

Nancy’s homes, careers, travels and friends were so many, that to list them all would lead one to doubt the truth of how many lives she lived in her short time on earth. Of all of her adventures, her favorite was her time in her home in Bloomington Springs, where she settled upon retiring and built a daylily farm.

She was preceded in death by the love of her entire life and soulmate, Frankie Rich, who passed away in their same home on March 31, 2016.

Nancy leaves behind a great many of friends, fellow gardeners & travelers, collectors, mentees & children she helped to raise, all of whom are better people for having been loved by a woman of such strength, wisdom, enthusiasm, joy and love.
