Graveside services for N. Jean Carter Sprague, 64, of North Carolina, will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at the Granville Cemetery in Jackson County, TN. She passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018, in Kernersville, NC. She was born November 28, 1953, in Cookeville, TN, to Mildred H. Carter and the late Alton G. Carter. She graduated as salutatorian of her 1970 Jackson County High School class and attended the University of Tennessee. She was an accomplished musician who played by ear including piano, guitar, and flute. She loved the outdoors, animals, fishing, and gardening. She was preceded in death by her Father: Alton G. Carter. Survivors include 1 Son: Joshua (Samantha) Sprague of Mebane, NC; 1 Daughter: Kathryn (Michael) Larson of Kernersville, NC; her Mother: Mildred H. Carter and Sister: Carolyn (Robert) Dudney of Cookeville, TN; and Grandchildren: Nathaniel Teague, Kimberly Larson, and Brandon Earnhardt of North Carolina. Bro.
