Myrtie Pryor Gentry

Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtie Pryor Gentry, 71, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, July 8, 2016, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M., and on Friday from 11 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at her residence. She was born August 10, 1944, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Arvle and Delsie Pryor. On January 4, 1969, she was married to the late Donald E. Gentry, who passed away October 6, 2015. She was a homemaker, and her family meant everything to her. She was a member of the Church of God. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Ray and Gene Pryor. Survivors include 1 Son: Donnie (Theresa) Gentry of Cookeville, TN; 2 Daughters: Angie Crow of Cookeville, TN, and Tammy Gentry Pennington of Gainesboro, TN; 9 Grandchildren: Delonna Lyles, Andy Dailey, Corey Pennington, Brooks Goans, Blake Goans, Zachary Pennington, Dillon Gentry, Haley Gentry, and Kaylee Gentry; 4 Great Grandchildren; and 1 Brother: Encil Pryor of Gainesboro, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Wayne Wells will officiate at the services.
