Myrtie Hix Barlow

Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtie Elease Hix Barlow, age 88, a resident of Gainesboro, TN, will be held Friday at 11 A.M. at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5-9 P.M., Thursday from 9 A.M. - 9 P.M., and Friday from 9 A.M. until time of services. Mrs. Barlow passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at Mabry Health Care and Rehab Center in Gainesboro, TN. She was born June 25, 1919, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Winton and Linnie Jenkins Hix. On August 9, 1944, she was married to Paul E. Barlow, who survives. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Burristown Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Frances Louise Barlow; 3 Brothers: Fred, James and Willie Gray Hix; and 1 Sister: Edna Mae Patino. Survivors include her Husband: Paul E. Barlow of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Sue Wylie of Livingston, TN, and Janice Barlow of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Dewayne (Patty) Wylie, Michael (Sharon) Wylie, and Stacey Wylie; 6 Great-Grandchildren: Seth, Nathan, Jessica, Kyle and Dustin Wylie and Skylar Myrick; 2 Brothers & 2 Sisters-in- law: Claude (Sue) Hix of Dayton, Ohio, and Boyd (Margaret) Hix of Mt. Juliet, TN; 1 Sister: Beatrice Harris of Dayton, Ohio; and 1 Special Brother-in-law: James Barlow of Gainesboro, TN. Other relatives and friends also survive. Bro.
