Funeral services for Mr. Mounce A. Smith II, 61, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Dodson Branch Cemetery in the Dodson Branch community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2011, at NHC Health Care Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born July 29, 1949, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Mounce A. "Buster" Smith I and Ruth Jackson Smith. On February 6, 1972, he was married to the late Mary Hix Smith, who passed away April 26, 2011. He worked for the State Highway Department, and was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Mounce A. Smith III. Survivors include 1 Daughter-in-Law: Amanda Fox Smith of Gainesboro, TN; and 3 Grandchildren: Dustin Cain Smith, Kristin Paige Smith, and Holly Elizabeth Smith. Several aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mounce A.
