Morris R. Hicks

Graveside services for Mr. Morris R. Hicks, 77, of Warren, Michigan, will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, July 11, 2009, at the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Mr. Hicks passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2009. He was born July 10, 1931, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Willie and Clara Allen Hicks. He was a factory worker in the automotive industry. He was affiliated with the Church of Christ and served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 Aunts: Anna Myrtle Quarles, Mai Walker, Edna Allen, Ruth Davis and Ora Mae Steele; and 6 Uncles: Harold Allen, Hobert Allen, George Hix, Domer Hix, James Hix, and Frank Hix. Survivors include his Cousins Locally: Betty Allen Brown, Loyd Walker, Kenneth Walker, Ruth Stout, Linda Haskins, Jane Allen Way, Joy Allen West, Frances Allen Brown, Edward Allen and James Quarles; and Special Friends: Emily & Ed Gipson of Michigan, Lois Birdwell of Michigan and Ann Hix Thompson of Gainesboro, TN. Other relatives and friends also survive. Bro. Arlon Way will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to the Allen Cemetery or the Hurricane Cemetery by contacting the funeral home.
