Mitchel Lee West

Mitchel West was born August 16, 1952, in Gainesboro, TN and he passed away at Vanderbilt University Medical Center on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the age of 72.

Mitchel was the son of William Willis West and Lucy Elise Young West. He worked in construction for several years.  He married Amy Jewel Lee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother: Lester Ray West.

Survivors include his spouse: Amy West Gainesboro; daughters: Lindsey (Amanda Steele) West of Dowelltown, TN and Lacy (Stephen) Tomecko of Dowelltown, TN; brothers: William Richard (Beverly) West of Cookeville, TN and Danny Joe West of Baxter, TN; sister: Lisa Renee Hanus of Baxter, TN, grandchildren: Cain Stacey and Landon Mize.  Numerous other friends and relatives survive.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 10 am to 2 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 2 pm in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Pastor Kelly Stockton officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Hill Flatt Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to assist with funeral expenses by contacting the business office of the funeral home.
