Funeral services for Miranda Yvette Spivey Kennedy, 56, of the North Springs community of Jackson County, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Kennedy Family Cemetery in the North Springs community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1 P.M. to 9 P.M., and on Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at her residence. She was born December 17, 1958, in Newhall, California, to the late Selvin Spivey and Mavis Chitwood Spivey. On June 19, 1982, she was married to Ricky Kennedy, who survives. She worked in retail management and sales, and was a Christian. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Paternal Grandparents: William and Floretta Spivey; her Maternal Grandparents: Carson and Livie Chitwood; 1 Brother: Sonny Spivey; and 1 Sister: Natalie Green. Survivors include her Husband: Ricky Kennedy of the North Springs community of Jackson County, TN; 1 Son: Dustin Kennedy and wife, Lindsey Kennedy of the North Springs community of Jackson County, TN; 1 Daughter: Vivian Coons and husband, Sam Coons of Murray, KY; 3 Grandchildren: Emily and Sydney Coons, and Waylon Kennedy; 4 Brothers: Jr. Spivey, Stacey (Lisa) Spivey, and Knute Spivey, all of Moss, TN, and Troy Spivey of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Sisters: Brenda (Jerry) Rich of Red Boiling Springs, TN, Katrina (James Holliman) Spivey and Winona Thomas, both of Gainesboro, TN, and Dainette (Danny) Moore of Moss, TN; 1 Brother-in-Law: Richard Neal Green of Moss, TN; 1 Sister-in-Law: Rhonda (Frankie) Dixon of Rickman, TN; her Father-in-Law: Barry (Susan) Kennedy; and her Mother-in-Law: Janice Kennedy. Bro. David Sisco will officiate at the services.
